Audi is recalling 6,633 of its A8 luxury sedans (including some high-performance S8 versions) because of a fire risk. Certain cars from the 2013 through 2015 model years have a fuel line that could become porous over time, leading to a fuel leak. That kind of leak near an ignition source creates the risk of a fire, Audi said.
Cars built between June 2012 and July 2014 received the suspect part. (A new, stiffer part was put into production starting in July 2014; it is said to be less susceptible to this problem.)
