Ram Trucks Are Recalled Because Tailgates Can Open Unexpectedly

Ram is recalling 1.1 million pickup trucks from the 2015 through 2017 model years because their tailgates can open unexpectedly, potentially letting cargo fall out, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The agency’s concern is that cargo tumbling out the back of the truck could lead to an accident.

Affected vehicles include Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 trucks with 5-foot-6-inch or 6-foot-4-inch beds and power locking tailgates. Trucks with 8-foot beds and trucks without power locking tailgates are not included in the recall, NHTSA said…Read more on ConsumerReports.com
