Auburn Hills, MI – November 20, 2025 – Stellantis (NYSE:STLA), which owns the Jeep brand, is recalling 24,238 2023-2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe plug-in vehicles (PHEV) that may lose motive power while driving. This defect ups the chances of an injury and property damage.
Recall summary
The hybrid drive in the affected SUVs is controlled by a Hybrid Control Processor (HCP). Because of a faulty over-the-air update, HCP may reset while driving, resulting in the loss of propulsion.
Recall risks
A vehicle that loses motive power may get stranded on the road, where it can get hit by distracted drivers.

The repair
The carmaker is currently developing a repair, which, once available, will be performed free of charge.
Notifications to the owners should be mailed between November 25, 2025 and November 26, 2025.
