Stellantis recalls RAMs over loss of stability

Auburn Hills, MI – June 17, 2026 – Stellantis (NYSE:STLA), which owns the RAM brand, is recalling 12,736 2023 – 2026 RAM 2500 heavy-duty pickup trucks that may become unstable while driving. This defect increases the risk of a crash and injury.

Recall summary

A tire’s speed rating represents the maximum speed at which the car can safely travel with the particular tires in place.

Due to a software error, the affected vehicles can exceed that limit.

This could lead to reduced “tire integrity” and ultimately result in the driver losing control of the vehicle.

Recall risks

The loss of control dramatically augments the risk of an accident that can lead to serious injuries or a fatality.

Other RAM recalls

In February 2026, nearly half a million Jeeps and RAMs were recalled over inoperable trailer lights and brakes.

In December 2025, RAM recalled more than 50,000 pickup trucks whose stability control and seat belt pretensioners could have malfunctioned

The repair

The dealers will update the truck’s software to limit top speed free of charge.

Notifications to the owners will be mailed by June 4, 2026.
