Volkswagen recalls ID. Buzz minivans with seatbelt defect

Auburn Hills, MI – May 14, 2025 – Volkswagen (OTCMKTS:VWAGY) is recalling 5,637 2025 Volkswagen ID. Buzz electric minivans over an insufficient number of seatbelts. This defect ups the risk of an injury in an accident.

Recall summary

The third-row bench in the affected minivans is wide enough to accommodate three occupants, but it only has two seatbelts. As a result, the person sitting in the middle will not be able to use a seatbelt.

Recall risks

The passenger will be more likely to get injured in a crash.

The repair

The dealer will install an unpadded trim in the middle of the third-row bench to prevent passengers from sitting in that position. The modification will be free of charge.
