Mahwah, NJ – July 31, 2025 – Tata Motors (NYSE:TTM), which owns Jaguar Land Rover, is recalling 20,999 2019-2025 Range Rover Evoque SUVs whose airbags may tear during deployment. This defect reduces occupant protection, upping the risk of injury.
Recall summary
The passenger airbags in the affected SUVs were not manufactured correctly and could tear during deployment.
Recall risks
A torn airbag may not provide sufficient protection and burn the occupants with escaping “hot gases” during deployment.
Other Jaguar recalls
Jaguar had no recent major recalls, with the latest one – caused by an engine oil leak – dating back to March 2023.
The repair
The dealers will replace the passenger airbag module free of charge.
The owners should receive notifications by August 29, 2025.
