Ford recalls Tauruses over detaching door trims

Dearborn, MI – September 30, 2025 – Ford (NYSE:F) is recalling 101,944 2016-2019 Ford Taurus cars because their door trim may fall off while driving. This could generate a road hazard,  upping the chances of a crash and injury.

Recall summary

The door trim on the affected vehicles’ B-pillars was not fitted correctly and may fall off while driving.

Recall risks

A fly-away trim can land on the road and create a road hazard for other motorists, who may crash while trying to avoid it.

Warning signs

The driver may notice the door trim is loose or hear “rattling noises” while driving.
