Auburn Hills, MI – January 20, 2025 – Volkswagen (OTCMKTS:VWAGY), which owns the Audi brand, is recalling 27,768 cars and SUVs whose seat belts may fail to secure a child. The defect increases the risk of an injury in the event of an accident.
The following models are affected:
- 2025 Audi A5
- 2025 Audi A6
- 2025 Audi Q6 E-Tron
- 2025 Audi SQ6 E-Tron
- 2025 Audi S5
- 2025 Audi Q6 Sportback E-Tron
- 2025 Audi S6 Sportback E-Tron
- 2025 Audi SQ6 Sportback E-Tron
- 2025 Audi A4 Sportback E-Tron
Recall summary
An automatic locking retractor (ALR) prevents the seat belt from pulling out once it is locked, as reported. In the affected vehicles, the ALR mechanism may become damaged, causing the seat belt to become loose.
