Auburn Mills, MI – September 29, 2026 –Stellantis (NYSE:STLA) is recalling close to 1.3 million 2019-2026 RAM 1500 pickups with unsecured seat belt buckles. The defect ups the risk of injury in an accident.
Recall summary
The second-row seat belt buckle in the affected vehicles was not fastened to the belt because of a supplier error.
Recall risks
The improperly attached buckle may lead to the seat belt failing to restrain the occupant in an accident, leading to serious injuries.
Other Stellantis recalls
In August 2026, Stellantis recalled 13,000 new RAM pickups over faulty headlights, as reported.
In June 2025, Stellantis recalled 8,400 Dodge Charger vehicles that would fail to emit pedestrian warnings when approaching, also as reported.
The repair
The dealers will attach the seat belt buckle anchors free of charge.
Notifications to the owners were set to be mailed by August 18, 2026.
