Toyota recalls Tundra pickups over malfunctioning rearview cameras

Plano, TX – February 10, 2026 – Toyota (NYSE:TM) is recalling 161,268 pickup trucks whose rearview cameras may fail to show an image. This reduces visibility while backing up, upping the chances of a crash and injury.

The following models are affected:

  • 2024 – 2025 Toyota Tundra
  • 2024 – 2025 Toyota Tundra Hybrid

Recall summary

The affected pickup trucks have a Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) system showing the vehicle’s exterior image from different angles. Due to a software error, the rearview camera image may not appear on the center display when shifted into reverse.

Recall risks

An inoperable rearview camera reduces visibility, upping the chances of hitting surrounding objects or pedestrians.

In November 2025, more than 1 million Toyota, Subaru and Lexus vehicles were recalled over malfunctioning rearview cameras.

The repair

The dealers will update the camera software, free of charge. Notifications to the owners will be mailed between March 10, 2026 and March 24, 2026.
