Fountain Valley, CA – March 26, 2025 – Hyundai (OTCMKTS:HYMTF), which owns the Genesis brand, is recalling 32,594 cars over inoperable instrument clusters. This flaw deprives the driver of vital information, upping the risk of a crash and injury.
The recall comes on the back on hundreds of driver complaints and includes the following models:
- 2025 Genesis GV70
- 2023 – 2024 Genesis G80
- 2023 – 2024 Genesis GV80
- 2023 – 2025 Genesis Electrified GV70
Recall summary
The instrument cluster in the affected cars may fail to illuminate or may flicker due to a software error. If this happens, the driver will not see vital information, such as the vehicle’s speed and turn signals status.
Recall risks
The absence of crucial driving parameters augments the risk of a crash and injury.
Background of the recall
The recall is a result of 454 driver complaints about the condition. No injuries or crashes have been reported.

In December 2024, Hyundai sedans and SUVs were recalled over malfunctioning rearview cameras.

The repair
Dealers will update the instrument cluster’s software free of charge.
The owners should receive letters with more information by April 20, 2025.
