Ford recalls Ranger pickups with faulty rearview cameras

Dearborn, MI – November 5, 2026 – Ford (NYSE:F) is recalling 11,405 2026 Ford Ranger pickups whose rearview cameras may not display an image. This increases the risk of a crash.

NHTSA recall number is 26V605000.

Recall summary

The affected vehicles’ center touchscreen – which rearview cameras are a part of – may show a blank or a black image due to a loss of power because of “suspected counterfeit components” inside.

Recall risks

Not having the rearview camera when backing up can result in the driver striking people behind the vehicle or damaging property.
