Auburn Hills, MI – October 25, 2024 – Stellantis (NYSE:STLA), which owns the RAM brand, is recalling 129,313 2023-2024 RAM 1500 pickup trucks whose turn signals may not self-cancel. This augments the risk of an accident.
Recall summary
Due to a manufacturing error, turn signal indicators in the affected vehicles may stay on even after the turn is completed.
Recall risks
Faulty turn signals can confuse other motorists, upping the risk of a crash.
Other RAM recalls
In September, more than a million RAM trucks were recalled due to reduced stability, as reported.
A similar recall was done in June 2020 for RAM 2500 and 3500 trucks, also as reported.
The repair
Dealers will inspect the part responsible for the defect – the steering column control module – and replace it if needed. The repair will be free of charge.
Owners should receive notifications by mail between October 29, 2024, and November 5, 2024.
