Toyota recalls Camry vehicles with blank instrument clusters

Plano, TX – October 8, 2026 – Toyota (NYSE:TM) is recalling 508,354 2025-2026 Camry Hybrid mid-size cars whose instrument clusters may stop working. The defect ups the chances of a crash and injury.

Recall summary

The instrument cluster in the affected vehicles may not turn on during startup. This would deactivate several critical functions, such as turn signals, the “seat belt warning system” and hazard lights.

Recall risks

Other drivers may be unaware of the affected vehicle’s intention if the turn signals are not working, raising the risk of an accident involving several cars.

At the same time, if the driver and passengers are not using their seat belts, they may suffer serious injuries.

Other Toyota recalls

In April 2026, more than 73,500 Corolla Cross Hybrids were recalled because they would fail to give pedestrians a heads up about their approach, also as reported.

The repair

Dealers will update the cluster software free of charge.

Notifications to the owners will be mailed by September 21, 2026.
