Nissan recalls Sentras over reduced visibility

Franklin, TN – December 11, 2025 – Nissan (OTCMKTS:NSANY) is recalling 41,797 2025 Nissan Sentra sedans with defective windshields that may reduce drivers’ visibility. This defect ups the chances of a crash and injury.

Recall summary

An automotive windshield has two layers of glass with a plastic sheet between them to prevent it from shattering under impact. In the affected vehicles, the windshield’s layers were not properly glued together during the manufacturing process, which can allow air bubbles to form between them.

Recall risks

Air bubbles within the windshield may obstruct the driver’s field of view, increasing the risk of a crash and injury.

Other Nissan recalls

In October 2025, Nissan recalled more than 19,000 Leaf EVs whose batteries could burst into flames while charging

In August 2025, nearly 450,000 Nissan and Infiniti vehicles were recalled over an engine defect that could cause them to stall or even catch fire.

The repair

The dealers will replace the windshield free of charge.

Notifications to the owners will be mailed by January 15, 2026.

Toyota expands Lexus, Tundra stall recall

Plano, TX – December 9, 2025 – Toyota (NYSE:TM), which owns the Lexus brand, is recalling 126,691 SUVs and pickup trucks that may stall while driving. This ups the risk of a crash and injury, especially in dense traffic.

The following models are affected:

  • 2024 Lexus GX
  • 2022 – 2024 Lexus LX
  • 2022 – 2024 Toyota Tundra

This is an expansion of a 2024 recall for the same issue.

Recall summary

A crankshaft is a rotating part inside the engine that transfers power from the pistons to the transmission. In the affected vehicles, the crankshaft’s bearings – whose job is to reduce friction and ensure smooth rotation – could fail due to a manufacturing flaw, causing the engine to stall.

Recall risks

A stalled vehicle may get hit by other motorists, augmenting the risk of injury for everyone involved.

Previous Toyota engine stall recall

In May 2024, Toyota recalled 102,000 Tundra and Lexus LX SUVs over the same issue and replaced their engines. Further analysis, however, revealed that more models than originally suspected are affected.

Other Toyota recalls

In November 2025, Toyota recalled approximately 1 million vehicles whose rearview cameras could fail to show an image while backing up.

In October 2025, nearly 6,000 Tacoma pickup trucks were recalled because their driveshafts could snap, causing a loss of motive power

Hyundai and Kia recall cars that may catch fire

Fountain Valley, CA – December 1, 2025 – Hyundai (OTCMKTS:HYMTF) and Kia (OTCMKTS:KIMTF) are recalling 85,043 2020-2023 Hyundai Sonata and 250,547 2021-2024 K-5 vehicles whose fuel tanks may develop a leak. This defect ups the chances of a vehicle fire and injury.

Hyundai owns a significant stake in Kia and they share some parts, engine components and engineering platforms.

Recall summary

A fuel tank has a purge check valve that regulates the pressure inside it. In the affected vehicles, the valve may get stuck and cause a pressure increase that could result in the tank touching the “hot exhaust pipe components.” Over time, this can lead to “localized melting” of the tank and a fuel leak.

Recall risks

Leaking fuel may cause a vehicle fire, significantly augmenting the risk of injury.

Safety tips

You can learn what to do if the vehicle catches fire in this article.

Warning signs

The driver may hear a “pop” sound from the back of the vehicle or notice a “fuel odor.” In addition, the car may be difficult to start, run rough or have a check engine light come on the dashboard.

Background of the recall

Hyundai and Kia tried to tackle the problem by issuing a service bulletin to their dealers in January 2025. The document instructed dealers to replace the check valve when its failure triggered a check engine warning light.

Other Hyundai recalls

In October 2025, more than 30,000 Hyundai Ioniq 6 EVs were recalled because their charging port door panels could have detached while driving

In March 2025, Hyundai recalled approximately 32,000 Genesis vehicles due to inoperable instrument clusters

Notifications to the owners will be mailed by January 16, 2026.

Ford recalls E-series vans that may burn occupants

Dearborn, MI – November 27, 2025 – Ford (NYSE:F) is recalling 7,046 Econoline trucks and vans whose passengers may get burned by the hot engine cover, upping the chances of injury.

The following models are affected:

  • 2021 Ford E-350
  • 2021 Ford E-450

These vehicles were already recalled over the same issue in January 2020, but were not fixed.

Recall summary

The engine in Econoline vans and trucks is partially located between the front seats and is insulated to prevent burns. Despite that, the engine cover of the affected vehicles may become too hot due to faulty heat management software.

Recall risks

The driver or passengers may burn themselves on the hot engine cover.

Warning signs

The occupants may notice that the engine cover near their feet is gradually becoming hotter.

Previous Ford engine cover recall

Ford already addressed this problem on these vans and trucks in January 2020 by installing an improved engine cover with better thermal insulation and updating the corresponding software. In some vehicles, however, the software update was not performed for unknown reasons.

Other Ford recalls

In November 2025, more than 170,000 Ford and Lincoln trucks and SUVs were recalled because their wind deflectors may have flown away while driving

In October 2025, Ford recalled almost 60,000 vehicles over a fire risk caused by a leaking engine block heater

Fountain Valley, CA – November 25, 2025 – Hyundai (OTCMKTS:HYMTF) is recalling 143,472 SUVs whose rearview cameras may fail to show an image. This defect ups the chances of a crash and injury while reversing.

The following models are affected:

  • 2024 – 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe
  • 2024 – 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid

Recall summary

Recall summary

The hybrid drive in the affected SUVs is controlled by a Hybrid Control Processor (HCP). Because of a faulty over-the-air update, HCP may reset while driving, resulting in the loss of propulsion.

Recall risks

Auburn Hills, MI – November 18, 2025 – Stellantis (NYSE:STLA), which owns the Jeep brand, is recalling 320,065 hybrid SUVs that may catch fire while driving or when parked and turned off. This ups the risk of a crash and injury or property damage.

Recall risks

A fire that happens while driving increases the chances of a crash and injury.

In addition, if the vehicle bursts into flames while parked, the fire may spread to surrounding objects.

Safety tips

You can learn what to do if the vehicle catches fire in this article.

Drivers are also advised not to charge their vehicles and to “park away from structures or other vehicles.”

Previous Jeep battery fire recalls
